Newport Marina is in northern Moreton Bay above Brisbane. Situated in a residential area with a canal system, it isn't prone to river floods, has a well dredged entrance channel, can accommodate boats up to 17 meters, has good quality docks and nice surroundings. It was one of the most affordable marinas we've stayed in and we felt comfortable leaving our boat there when traveling overseas. The facilities are clean & adequate and the staff are friendly. It has a quiet feel to it. There is shopping within walking distance although not super close and there's a great bike path nearby.
