Crab Is is just of Runaway Bay, Gold Coast QLD (AU). It. is protected from NE-SE winds. It also is the closest protected anchorage to the Runaway Bay shopping centre which has all the shops you would expect of a major shopping centre. Furthermore it has two (2) floating 'dingy' pontoons which "Welcome Boaties". This allows tie up to do your shopping right at the shops. It is also tidal which means that at close to top of tide you can get fresh seawater in which you can make water.
